Hi, I’m Caralyn Bains, let me tell you a bit about me:

I am an Associate Fellow with The British Psychological society and frequently write for psychology publications including The Psychologist. I am also a Member of The Association for Business Psychologists. (MABP) and am an Associate member of The American Psychological Association.

I specialise in support with Anxiety, ADHD, Sensory Issues and Trauma.

I have an ADHD specialist certificate in Assessment and Diagnosis. Offering diagnosis and reports. Using NICE guidelines and DSM-5 Criteria.

Reports also contain suggested reasonable adjustments and support strategies.

I hold trainer status with CPD Standards Office for The Soma Thera Release System. TM. Alongside this I offer other CPD courses, please see the relevant section.

Professionalism and Experience

As an experienced psychologist working for the last twelve years coaching I have the tools and understanding to help you to create the life you imagine and get a renewed sense of self. I can help you change your perception of life so that it is filled with vitality and enthusiasm. I specialise in reduction of anxiety, reframing experiences for empowerment, releasing baggage and building resilience through a positive psychology toolkit, CBT, and other strategies. I also work with trauma support In a fusion of somatic /psychological coaching In my own system The Soma Thera Release System. I am also a CPD trainer in this system.

I can work over the phone, Zoom or face to face at my practice in Prestwood, Buckinghamshire.

I also do ADHD assessments and diagnosis. I don’t prescribe medication however as I am not a clinical psychologist or prescriber.

At Best of You Consultancy, I specialise in several modalities to help clients to get to where they want to be.. I also work with Neurodivergence. I use Positive Psychology, CBT, and mindfulness-based support to help clients gain greater self-awareness, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall well-being. I have extensive training in Psychology and integrate this into evidence-based coaching techniques to help clients achieve their goals.

Caralyn has opened a new chapter to me which to be honest I never heard of called coaching which unleashed a lot of hurt and pain I was carrying at that point in my life as I was pretty much drowning and I didn’t see a way out.

Having started to suffer with anxiety problems all of a sudden.. I came across the help of Caralyn - recommended by a friend. I'd like to genuinely thank this lady for the in depth knowledge and understanding she had to help me. In an hour long session with Caralyn I was advised of all the real solutions to prevent the anxiety.. from the vitamins I was lacking to the foods I should eat.. aswel as many other coping mechanisms that worked - one of them being Caralyns hypnosis session. I was at unease about this at first however doing the session was amazing. One of the main purposes of it was to walk away feeling calm and even to this day I still have walked away with that feeling of calmness. There is this superb tool out there - hypnosis - which caralyn has the ability to do..which can solve many issues and pain that sufferers have been dealing with for years, but from the right help you have access to find somewhat relief from this pain.
